Is back with a new style, new album and a new outlook.

Alex has gone back to his roots and what he loves to do best.

He has been hold up in his newly built 24 track studio, recording new material

For his 4th solo album working title,

“Rancho Diablo”

Which will be released in the summer Alex is also about to embark on an acoustic world tour.

Alex is influenced and always has been by the greats such as

Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Robert Johnson, Tom Petty, The Band, etc.. the list goes on.

He is a changed man from the days with his former band mates Hurricane#1

And is his own boss in what he writes expresses and feels .

“When I was with Hurricane#1 I had little input on what should be done and written within the band 

so it is great to be my own boss and do the stuff I have always loved”.

Alex’s new album has the acts of a man that cares about lyrics and melodies.

Rancho Diablo is the work of a very underrated artist.

The words are prolific and the melodies clean, simple and catchy.

The new album like the last, speaks of the devil, hangings whores and drunken brawls and war.

“The World Tour”

The world tour will kick off in Scotland on the 10th of April at The Classic Grand Glasgow, where 

Alex will be performing at the charity event “Doing It For The Kids” then to England USA Canada Holland 

France Malaysia and so on and so on. The type of places Alex will be playing on the world tour will be very 

diverse,Such as New York coffee bars to festivals in the back woods of Tennesse

Maybe the acoustic Americana folk thing has always been in his blood……………?

Hi Aunt Sheila MacGregor is a very well known scottish folk artist and recently received the MBE for her folk 

contributions. And her mother Belle Stewart Alex great grandmother who was awarded the BEM for her contributions.

Alex also recently found out that the great Jazz guitarist (Martin Taylor MBE) is a cousin

So the signs are there.

Its been a long time since Alex has hit the road for such a gruelling tour

But he has the edge and songs to see it is through.

There is even talk of collaboration with his old mate Andy Bell who joined some band called

Oasis.

Look out for that one.

“Andy and I did speak about doing some collaboration on my album or any tracks for that matter so it could happen in 

the very near future”.
